Kiln design and flame dynamics have intrigued me from the moment I began wood firing. Math, geometry, physics and innovation come together to forge a new tool or to repurpose and give life to old materials. My partner Seth Charles and I design and build refractory kilns, specializing in wood-fueled designs.
